I wrote this book because I was the person who needed it first.

Early in my career, I received a petition from the people I worked with every day. Not about a policy. Not about a budget decision. About what it felt like to be in a conversation with me. I read it with the door closed. This book is what came next.

But not right away. First came the trainings, the books, the classes. I was looking for something that would make me better, as a leader, an educator, and a person. What I kept finding was jargon, or science, or vague guidance that sounded right but gave me nothing to actually do. Never a simple tool. Never something that worked every single time.

I dedicated years to finding it. The answer was five questions.

RESET changed how I show up. My wife saw it. My kids felt it. And then strangers started noticing it in conversations they never expected to have.

You are going to feel it too. The first time you notice a TEN Second Moment and ask the RESET questions, something will shift. Not just for the person you are with. For you. That rush of helping someone reach a thought they could not get to alone, take a step they were ready for, find a peace they already had but had not seen yet. There is nothing quite like it.

It changed everything for me. I know it will do the same for you.
